This Refund Policy explains your rights and our obligations regarding refunds for software licenses purchased from MSH Software at postfix-milter.com.
Digital goods - general policy
Our software products are delivered digitally. Once a license key has been issued and the software has been downloaded or accessed, the product is considered delivered and used.
We offer refunds under the specific conditions described below. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
EU consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction date, without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
Important exception: This right of withdrawal does not apply if:
- You have explicitly consented to the immediate delivery of the digital content (software license and download), and
- You have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the content has been delivered.
During checkout, we ask for this consent and acknowledgement. If you granted it, the right of withdrawal is waived upon delivery of your license key.
If you did not grant this consent and have not yet downloaded or accessed the software, you may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days by contacting us at contact@mshsoftware.com.
Eligible refund cases
Outside of the EU withdrawal right, we will consider refunds in the following situations:
- Technical failure - the software cannot be installed or activated due to a defect on our part, and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.
- Duplicate purchase - you were charged more than once for the same license due to a payment processing error.
- Incorrect product - you were charged for a product different from what you ordered.
- Non-delivery - you did not receive your license key and we are unable to resend it.
Non-eligible cases
Refunds will generally not be granted in the following cases:
- You changed your mind after downloading or activating the software.
- The software does not work with a third-party tool, configuration, or environment that is outside our stated system requirements.
- You purchased the wrong license tier and have already used it.
- Your use violated the End-User License Agreement (EULA).
- More than 30 days have passed since the purchase date (except where required by law).
How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact us at contact@mshsoftware.com with the following information:
- Your order number or the email address used for the purchase.
- The reason for your refund request.
- Any relevant details (e.g., error messages, steps you have already tried).
We will respond within 3 business days. If your request is approved, the refund will be processed within 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Partial refunds
We do not offer partial refunds for multi-year licenses or multi-seat bundles. If you purchased a bundle and only part of it is affected by an issue, we will work with you to resolve the specific issue rather than issue a partial refund.
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider instead of contacting us first, your license will be suspended immediately pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us directly - we are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.
